METAL SUPPLIES
MR REDDLE’S OFFER TO BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The question of whether the Borough Council were prepared to further consider Motuhora as a possible source of metal supply was again considered at a meeting of the Council last evening, when Mr J. L. i eddle wrote confirming his offer to allow the local bodies of the district to open up a quarry on his Motuhora pi°pertv.. He offered to allow the removal of 5000 yards free of royalty providing it was removed by December 3L 1027. After that date a royalty would have to he agreed upon or the property purchased at a price to lie agreed upon. If after December 31 1027, the local bodies concerned should decide to abandon the quarry then thev would he required to pay for all damage to the property. The question was referred to the Stone Committee. _____
