NO MORE SCOTCH REFEREES FOR FRENCH GAMES.

Arising from the incident in the Franco-lrish match in which Mr Scott, the Scottish referee, wms assaulted, the Scottish Rugby Union decided to cease sending Scottish referees to matches organised by the French Federation, If the attitude is maintained it will jeoj>arclise the future of the Franco-lrish fixtures, as the Irish demand a Scotsman for the referee in Payis.—Sun. The Sydney University tetim is to invite a New Zealand University team to visit Sydney in May' and . play three test matches, and probably a game against a combined New South Wales team.—l .P.A. N.S.W. TEAM TO VISIT BRITAIN (Received Jan. 20, 9.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 20. The New South Wales Rugby Union lias agreed to the itinerary of matches to be played by the Ncnv South Wales team in Britain this year.
