THE HAYTI REBELLION

SEVERE FIGHTING. THE BEBEL LEADER CAPTUBED AND SHOT. Pobt Au Pbinob, Jan. 10. General Hippolyte, leader of the insurgents, defeated the troopa of the Government under General Legitime three times. A state of anarchy prevailed for a time, but at length the Government troops rallied, and meeting the rebels a decisive engagement took place, in which hundreds were killed and wounded on each aide. In the end the rebate were defeated, and their leader captured and shot.
