Miss Mabel Sylvester.

There promises to be a big reception for Miss Mabel Sylvester, the champion lady skater, who makes her first appearance at the City Rink to-morrow night. In our last issue we gave some of the criticisms of the Melbourne papers. Here are a few further extracts to show what a pleasure is in store for Gisborne people The Morning Times (Oakland, Cal.)—She went through a series of movements that were simply marvellous—her waltzing toe movements and clog dancing elicited rounds of applause. New York Herald.—The event of last night was the appearance of Mies Mabel Sylvester, “ The champion roller skater of America.” It is no exaggeration to say that Miss Sylvester’s performances wore something marvellous. . , , .
