Poverty Bay Bowing Club.

Tss above club held its annual general meeting in the Albion Club Hotel an Tuesday evening last, Amongst those present were Messrs J, Nesbht (in the chair), J. Adeane, A, Sawyer, H, Warren, T, Leslie, J, Marshall. W. Walters, M. MoKennie, O. SanffW, W Nesbitt, J. Walters, q. ani J. Bead, The following n«w members were elected Messrs Q. gandlant, W, Nesbitt, J, A. Harding, and S. McLernon, Tbe officers for the ensuing year were appointed as follows President, Captain W. H. Tucker; Vice Presidents, Messrs J, A. Harding and E. P. Joyce; Captain, J, Neg. bitt; Vice Captain, A. Sawyer ; Secretary, H, Warren; Treasurer, J. Adeane ; Committee, 0, Sandlant, J. Reed, W. Walters, T. Leslie, J. Walters, and J, Marshall, Messrs Nesbitt' and hdeane were appointed to toake arrangements with the Gisborne Club re the opening day. The financial state of the club was shown to be in a very healthy condition, there being B credit balance of 12s, The committee will hold a meeting on Monday evening next, for the purpose of taking into consideration the rules and byelaws of tbe Club, . f
