An Individual Committed for Libel.

(from our own correspondent.) Napier, last night. At tho Resident Magistrate’s Court this afternoon, Richard D. Jones, of Taupo, was charged with criminal libel upon Henry Bodley. The alleged libel was contained in g letter to J. 8. Jones, of Napier, whose daughter was in service with Bodley, and charged the latter and othere with immorality. The letter was purported to be written in Um interests of the daughter of J. S. Jones. The defendant was committed for trial, but was admitted to bs;l, himself in £25, and two sureties of £5O each. Defendant was aIU charged with libelling in the same letter Jas, Turner, rf Mohaka, and was oommlttsd to trial on that charge also.
