CRICKET.
Tub final contest between Patutahi and Giaborne was decided in favor of the tatter in an all day match at the Hapara on Tuesday. The weather held up fine, and everyone enjoyed the day’s outing, In the first innings Paiutahi made 72, and Gisborne replied with 139. Patutahi again took the defensive, and were all disposed of for 90, leaving their opponents 24 to get to win. This Gi-borne succeeded in doing without the loss of a wicket. It was, however, decided to finish the innings, and a score of 141 wae put together by the town. The principal scorers tor Patutahi were Dewing, Leggatt, Palairet, and B. Biiham, while for Gisborne Gray, A. Rees, Mann, W. Gray, Mclntyre, and Langford were the main scorers.
