A LIGHT SENTENCE. Captain Verney. the rascally member of Parliament who was charged with abetting the procuring of women for immoral purposes, and was committed for trial the other day, with bail of £15.000, has pleaded guilty. He got let down with the shockingly light sentence of twelve months. He will probably have his commission in the army cancelled at an early date.
