Opening of the Rowing Season.
A HALF-HOLtcrs will be generally observed to morrow afternoon, on the formal opening ot the rowing season. The clubs act together for the occasion, and the services of the launches Snark and Tuna have been kindly permitted for the afternoon. The launches are timed to leave the wharf at 2 30, and owners of private boats are invited to j'oin in the procession, The following crews have been picked by the Poverty Bay Club to compete in the races at tha opening of the rowing season tomorrow afternoon :— Sculls—J. Walters and A. Thompson. Four oars—Lee (stroke), Sawyer, Sweet, and Brosnaham ; Fox (stroke), J. Thompson, J. Morrison, and A. Lewis. The Club's new boat will be taken out by: Richardson (stroke), Leslie, Martin, and Nutting, but this crew do not take part in the rao6»i
