(Before Mr Warden Revel!,) Applications : Charles Clifford applied for a stack of quarfz situated 'in Caples Creek, Boatman's. In reply totbe Warden, applicant said he did not know who placed the stone there. They occupied about 10 x 12 feet; The Warden said he had no power under the regulations to grant a sack of quartz. Applicant could take the stone if nobody claimed it, but he (tbe Warden) could not grant such an application. H. Brennan and Beeche app'id for a machine site at Boatman's, 200 feet below the Ju»t«in-Time machine site. Applicants said it was merely an ap« plication for renewal.— Granted. Daniel Walsh; applied fora water-race 440 yards aborn nnniipnnt'g c'aim at Alfred Creek, Cannibal Gorge. — Granted. Birch and Chapman : No appearance. Rogers and Lavery : No appearance. Maurice Dote applied for a tail-race

at Devil's Creek. The application was opposed by Wong Meng and party, who claimed a prior right. Maurice Dore said he required .1 p'ece of tail-race from bis face into the China* man's tail-race. Could not take his tailrace in any other direction. Had been working there seven or eight weeks. The race applied for did pass throngh a por« tion of the worked ground of the objecM tors. Was not prepared to pay the Chinaman compensation for the use of their tail-race. Application refused. Mr Lynch applied for an interim injunction under section 138 of the Mines Act to restrain Sheedy, Coglan, Lynch, and others, from interfering with the Ex« tended claim of Hugh Brennan and J. B. Beeche at Boatman's. It was the inn tention to loJge a complaint against Sheedy and party for trespass, but as the case could not te heard before the next sitting of the Court, the injunction was required to prevent injury and damage being done to applicants' claim in the in* terval. Order granted for seven days. Timothy O'Neill applied on behalf of the Comstock Company, for a mining lease situated north of and adjoinng the Golden Treasure Compauy, Murray Creek. Mr Brennan, the manager, stated that the company had been registered. Application granted, and certificate to issup. John Gannon applied for a dam to store water at Alfred Eiver, Cannibal Gorge, also for a race 40 chains long and ter» minating at Maori Terrace. The application was objected to by Walsh, on the ground that no notices had been posted. Applicant was examined, and stated that his notices bad been posted for three wpeks. Had been away from the claim for six weeks farming. Application refused. The Court then adjourned.
