KEEP-IT- DARK.
This company's mill was in addition to the regular crushing* for the " Nil " tributers also running on stone, whi?h was raised some years since from a des tached block near the " Gem " boundary, wbes| the race, owing to a heavy slip, carried away to the extent of five lengths of boxes, and the crushing bad to be discontinued, pending repairs. These have now been effected, and the mill will resume operations on Monday. Fortunately, sufficient water was run* ning in the bye streams to keep the winding gear in motion, so that the work of the contractors for extending the low level, was not interrupted.
NIL DESPERANDUM (Tribotor*.) Owing to some stoppages at the mill, this party have not run through the average quantity of stone, and have, therefore, decided not to effect a general cleaning up this month. The work in the mine is going on satisfactorily, the body of stone maintains its uniform thickness, and promises to yield similar returns to those lately obtained.
