GOLDEN TREASURE.
Thirty-six tons of stone taken from the south -ide of tbe winze have been crushed during the week. The top plates were partly cleaned to-day, and resulted in 1430z Bdwt of amalgam, truly a bandsome yield when the thickness of tbe reef, which still retains the same propor tion as reported last week, is considered. The machine has only hitherto been kept going one shift per day, but as a good stack of quartz is now in the paddock, and as the output henceforth will be increased sufficiently to keep tbe mill constantly employed, a greater lot of stone will have been passed through by tbe time of the general cleaning up than at first anticipated, and as the reef looks exceedingly well, an early dividend will gladden the hearts of shareholders.
