The contractors for tbe extension of the low level the additional 400 feet have now fairly set to work after having com* pleted all preliminaries. Tbe company have bad a few men on wages engaged iv cleaning up, timbering and repairing the shaft which was sunk last year on the reef discovered by the original prospec tor. It is probable that this shaft will bo deepened to the lerel of the tunnel.
