DEVIL'S CHEEK.
GOLDEN POINT.
Considering that only three men are employed by this company good progress has been mads in following the reef which was struck some time since, about midway in the uprise. The south drive be' in tbe direction of tbe point where some two or three years ago a small, parcel of the richest stone waa obtained, is now thirty feet from tbe starting point and carries along wilh it a ron of stone nesrly 2 feet wide, which although gold-bearing to a payable extent, is yet somewhat broken. The north drive is in about 14 feet on solid stone of tbo same dimensions and quality. The gold, which can be easily seen in all the stone, is coarser than tbe general run in the loca'ity.
