DEVILS CREEK.

GOLDEN POINT.

Tenders bave been called for during the week for driving 100 feet, following the stone recently found in the uprise, and the contract was let to Messrs Gil* bert and Moncrief who will commence operation on Monday. Tlie hands employed of late have been timbering up, and making ready for the contractors to continue the work without interruption, consequently no great progress was made, since last greport, in the driving. The ! stone in both of the drives lately undertaken is about 2 feet and looks well, although it is somewhat broken in the face of the south drive, but as coarse gold is to be seen, and as workings are tending in the ri&htj'direction, more valuable developments.,migbt show themselves at any moment.
