DEVIL'S CREEK.
GOLDEN POINT. The Rood vein in the intermediate level lin3 now been followed for 12 feet since it was first fount, and appears of the same quality and nature disclosio? now ebout one foot of renlly excellent stone with | every appearance of continuance. The rich stone in the winze from the upper hvsA also maintains its former character. As it was inconvenient to follow it down any deeper from the drive it was decided to construct a rise over the winze, and up to the surface, where the placing of winding pear will facilitate operations. Pur* ing this' pijpcess the stone talr^n down was found of equal quality to that in the winze, and about 80 tons from all sources has now been slacked. Tenders have been let for extetdina the main tunnel 50 feet, and another contract is let to con« struct about one mile of water race.
