HOPEFUL.

There seems a fair prospect nf a turn in the tide of fovtuna for tl.e Hopeful Company. The Antimony reef which is now yeilding so well in the Welcome mine adjoining, traverses nearly the whole of the Hopeful line. It will be remembered that the Company had a small crushing from the reef sometime ago, but the stone not coming up to expectations, the reef was allowed to lia in abeyance. Now, however, that the reef has been proved to be payable in the Welcome, the directors of the Hopeful will hesitate no lonerg in opening up the stone and thoroughly testing it. The following directors were elected at the half-yearly mectiug of shareholders held on Monday last : — Messrs F. Walker, S. Parr, M. Levy, M. I{. Gissing, and J. Butler.
