GOLDEN POINT.
The battery has been kept going for some time past with surfacing, some of which carries fair gold, but it is patchy. Yesterday news reached town that a fine body of stone had been met with on the hill-side near the battery. When first intersected it showed a width of nearly 4ft, but gradually wedged down to 2ft. It has again wkjojued put, however, and xjoy/ shows
a thickness of 2ft 6in and is still increasing.
