The seamen have announced their determination to resist the demand of the ship owners for a reduction of wages, and threaten to strike if the same is persisted in. Reports from Port Derby announce the arrival there of the steamship Triumph from Wellington. The police at Derby report that miners at Kira« berley are getting gold, but water is short.
