CHILDREN’S PANTOMIME.

WEST END SCHOOL PRODUCTION.

To-night at eight o’clock tho pupils of West End School will open a two nights season of pantomime. The production is to be housed on a specially -constructed stage in tho school’s spacious assembly hall, and Mrs J. Oswald Telford, who produced last year’s highly successful entertainment, will ring up the curtain on “Dick Whittington and His Cat,” most delightful of all childhood stories. _ The story of Dick and his faithful cat is too well-known to need repetition, but around tho many romantic episodes tho poor country lad experiences, tho producer has built an extravaganza that lias a great deal of originality to commend it. ihero are to be exquisitely dressed ballets, and effectively arranged songs and choruses, and there is a splendid cast of principals. The ensemble will bo over 50 in number, and Mrs Telford has seen to it that they have many advantages in stage groupings, exits and entrances. For those who live a distance from tho school thero ato to bo special bus services from the Squaro at 6.40 and 7.5 p.m.
