TRADE RELATIONS
BRITAIN AND ARGENTINE. IMPORTANT AGREEMENT. DETAILS BEING CONSIDERED. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (British Official Wireless.) Received September 10, 10.50 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 9. One of the results of the conferences of the British mission to the Argentine has been the negotiation of a provisional agreement which should be of utmost value to the trade and commercial relations between the two countries.
The details of this provisional agreement are under consideration and discussion? but its object is to make provision for the purchase during the next two years of British manufactures to the extent of approximately £8,000,000 —manufactures required by the Argentine Government for their railway and public works—in return for the purchase through trade channels of Argentine food products of a similar value.
