The success of the New Zealand horses at the Randwick meeting is featured in the newspapers with prominent headlines. Ono typical example is: _ “New Zealand horses win half the programme.” The performances of Ceremony and Night March are described as particularly impressive. Mr Hume, the owner of Teri, the New Zealand horse, was fined £lO by the A.J.C. committee for failing to register the horse after arrival. Cook, the Australian jockey, has been cited to appear before the A.J.C. committee for allegedly breaking his arrangement to ride Crucis in the Chelmsford Stakes. Cook rode Mollison to victory in the race. Ceremony (Absurd —Pennon) is owned by Mr G. M. Curry, of Waijganui. Nightmarch (Night Raid —Marsa) is owned by Mr A. Louisson, of Christchurch. Mr Hume is a well-known Wairarapa owner.
