THE RHINELAND

3 P.M. EDITION

FRENCH OCCUPATION. RESEXTAIEXT AT WIESBADEN. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copy right.) (Australian Press Association.) Received September 16. 12.45 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 15. The Daily Express’s correspondent at Wiesbaden states: “General Sir William Thwaites has been urgently summoned to London to confer with the War Office regarding the difficult position arising out of France’s intention to occupy the zone which the British troops evacuate. “There is deep German resentment over the prospect of two French regiments occupying Wiesbaden, when it was believed there would in future be only a small formal guard for the Rhineland Commission.”
