SICKNESS ON STEAMER.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Kept. 16. A wireless message lias been received stating that the steamer Tregonnel, bound for Westport, has been diverted to Auckland, -and is due to-night, owing to a case of sickness aboard.

A new single-deck tramcar capable of carrying 117 persons and reaching a speed of 30 miles an hour is being tested at Dresden, Germany. It is so long that the conductor has to announce stopping places through a megaphone. The largest London County Council tramcar, although double-decked, can carry only 66 persons.
