TIAKITAHUNA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) TIAKITAHUNA, Sept. 17. Tho main road is now receiving its final coat of metal before being tar-sealed. Two steam rollers are on the job, but motorists should pass through the newly metalled portion with caution as in some places it is still thick and loose. Sheepfarmers report that this has so far been an excellent season as far as lambs are concerned. Mr and Mrs D. Buchanan, of “Eden Park,” arrived back last week after their extended tour overseas. Miss M. Rowland has returned to Wanganui College after having spent tho vacation in tho district. Mr and Mrs J. Hawke, of Kiritabi, Dannevirke, were visitors to the district during the week-end. Tho friends of Barbara Parker will be pleased to hear that she is making an excellent progress after her recent operation..
