GUILTY OF MANSLAUGHTER.

FATHER OF SIX KILLED

(Australian Press Association—United Service). LOS ANGELES, Sept. 26. A jury of five women and seven men brought in a verdict of guilty of manslaughter against Mrs Pantages, the wife of a vaudeville theatre owner who recently sold his theatres for £3,000,000. The law provides for a sentence of from one to ten years. Mrs- Pantages collapsed on hearing the verdict. The charge was one of killing a Japanese while driving a motor-car in an intoxicated state. Tho victim was the father of six children.
