J. Bryce’s trotting stables at Hornby, Christchurch; 'with several wellknown horses, were seriously endangered by. a. fire which, broke out in standing crops last evening, but the flames were subdued after a hard light by hundreds of workers, Farm buildings were slightly damaged, states a Press Association message.
