FIRE AT MASTERTON.
WOODEN BUILDING DESTROYED.

MASTERTON, Feb. 1. A spectacular fire occurred at Mast*ertbn at 2.20 this morning when a two-storey* wooden building in Chapel Street, occupied by Associated ' Live Stock Auctioneers Ltd. and as a board-ing-house, and a W.F.C.A. -bulk store adjoining were destroyed. The fire had a big hold when the alarm was given and by 3.30 the building had been burned to the ground. The brigade concentrated on stopping the progress of the fire and succeeded in this connection. Fortunately there was no wind.
