KIMBOLTON FUNCTION.
The Ladies’ Guild and Bible class members of Kimbolton Presbyterian Church entertained the children of the church, together with Mr M. Calder (superintendent), Miss D. Lawson (teacher and organiste) and Miss B. Lawson (assistant teacher). Tea was served at 0 p.m. to which tho children did ample justice. Father Christmas appeared and supplied the children with a large assortment of wonderful and amusing Christmas gifts.’ Games, songs and recitations took place and continued to give enjoyment to the little ones, as well as the large number of parents and friends present. Tho Sunday school children were presented with award books, consisting very largely of beautiful little Bibles, which were greatly appreciated by the children. Rev. A. F. Stewart, the minister, presented tho awards. Mr Stewart also presented
to Mrs Ferguson, who had acted as secretary to the Ladies’ Guild for a numl>er of years, a lady’s beautiful leather bag as a souvenir of Kimbolton, embodying the goodwill nnd best wishes of the guild and members of the congregation. All's Ferguson is leaving the district owing to the fact that her husband has been promoted to sergeant of police an! is to bo stationed in Auckland. Airs Ferguson suitably replied. The children were then supplied with supper and tho very happy meeting closed with the Doxology
