GOLD PROSPECTS.
Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Dee. 21. The recently reported discovery of rich gold prospects in an old creek bed on the West Coast lias been investigated by Mr It. T. Stewart, mining engineer, of Dunedin, who reports that, although 17 07.5. were secured in a very small area, no further prospects of value were obtained. The locality is midway between Iteefton and Murchison.
