INTERNATIONAL AID.
FUND FOR RELIEF OF DISTRESS,
GENEVA, Dec. 28. A new international organisation has been created at Geneva under League of Nations auspices, namely, a fund for the relief of distress due to any disaster of exceptional magnitude beyond the capacity of local resources. Twenty-seven countries, including Britain, India, New Zealand, France, Germany and Italy have so far joined the organisation, which has an initial capital of 420,000 Swiss' francs, but its principal resources will depend on donations, bequests and public contributions.
