The Masquerader and Flower wero two lengths clear when they lined up for home, and, in the run to the post, _ The Masquerader kept in front to win by two lengths, with Cleaner a similar distance away. Then came Pink Paper and High Speed. Time, 1.20 1-5. TRIAL STAKES, of 75 sovs. Six furlongs.

TWO INQUIRIES ADJOURNED.
Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Oct. 5. Two inquiries were hold during the day at the Dunedin Jockey Club’s meeting. The first was into alleged crossing by Control in the McLean Stakes, and the second into alleged interference by Reminder with Ainclita in the Taioma Handicap. Both were adjourned till Saturday morning.
