B RADIO STATIONS.
QUESTION OF PURCHASE. MOVE FOR FINALITY. Advice that it considers the owners of B radio stations have had a reasonable time in which to define their attitude towards the Government’s purchase proposals, and that it desires to reach finality on the general question, has been received by Mr J. V. Kyle, owner of station 2ZO, Palmerston North, which has been operated for the past 6J years. He has received a letter asking him, if he is not prepared to accept the price offered by the Government, to submit the lowest price at which he is prepared to sell. Failing agreement as to the price, the Government has intimated that it will be willing to submit the matter to arbitration, and abide by the decision. A definite reply is sought by the Government by July 3.
