FOXTON.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, July 30. Air C. Clark, an employee at the Alatipo mill, met with a painful injury when sharpening a saw. Inc tool flew up anu struck him across the mouth causing solicits lacerations. After receiving medical attention locally he was conveyed to the Palmerston North Hospital for treatment. At tho monthly meeting cf the ’I e Awahou Sea Scout Committee it was reported that owing to Aliss Parlato and Miss U. Barrat ’ leaving the district Mi-s B. Crawford had consented to fill the vacancy as cubmastcr. Alcssrs D. Brooks and E. Field were appointed visitors. Two teams from the Glen Oroua Ping Pong Club visited Foxton to participate m an inter-club match with the representatives of the local High School Old Pupils’ Club. The former won the A grade match by 22 games to 14, but Foxton heat Glen Oroua in the B grade hv 19 to 17.
