Miss E. Thompson, Kopane, is staying with Mrs. C. Vv right, Wcllsford. Auckland. A very old identity of Ballancc, Mrs A. Foster, had the misfortune on Saturday afternoon to slip at the back door, and in falling sustained a fracture of the arm. Assistance was rendered by a neighbour until medical aid arrived. The accident is all the more unfortunate as the sufferer, one of the earliest pioneers of the district, has been in a delicate state of health for some time.
