Mrs. Henson and Miss E. Henson, of Sanson, are leaving on Friday for a a extended holiday at Tangimoana. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lawrence and family left Fcilding on Friday last for Martinborough. Miss Vera Sellars, Palmerston North, who is staying with Mr. and Mrs. \V J, Scammcll, of Roscneath, Wellington, will leave for Sydney by tho Maraimi on Friday. Mrs. W. J. Day, accompanied by Miss Rona Day, has gono to Waikanae to rccupcrato after her recent serious operation, and is tho guest of her father, Mr. W. 11. P. Barber. Miss "Violet Macmillan, who has been appointed by Victoria University College Council to give lectures and demonstrations on the various aspects of home management, diet, etc., in Hawke’s Day, Taranaki and Wellington provinches, and whose headquarters will be at Massey College, arrived in Palmerston North this week. Miss Macmillan, who is a daughter of the Hon. C. E. Macmillan, Minister of Agriculture, is now considering plans for making contracts to further the Home Science service for country women, an outline of which will be found elsewhere on this page.
