Rongotea
From Our Own Correspondent.
Mrs. A. M. Morcorn presided over a good muster of members at the montnly meeting of the Women’s Institute, held on Tuesday afternoon. The demonstration was cane-tray making by Mrs. A. J. Will, Mrs. W. Sandercock and Miss V. Hobbs. Tho competition was for the best article suitable to be sent to the Willard Home. Mrs. Morcom won the competition, with Miss Ivy Bayliss and Mrs. A. J. Will second and third respectively. Each member took along a useful parcel, consequently tho bundlo sent to the Willard Home was a very large and most useful one. Tho hostesses,_ Mrs. N. S. Hogg, Mrs. L. Hancox, Miss M. Taylor and Miss E. Knight, served afternoon tea, after which Mrs. Morcorn extended a very merry Christinas and prosperous New Year to all the members, and the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem. Miss L. Davis, captain of the Rongotea Girl Guides Company, is at present in camp at Newbury.
