From Our Own Correspondent. Anglican Sunday School. A tea was given to members of the Anglican Sunday School on Wednesday afternoon in the Miison hall by the teachers, Mesdames Pitt and vvfiite, and in the evening a concert programme was given by members of the Sunday School, the following taking part:—Song by the children, “WorK, Work, Work”; recitation, Ivan Holland; recitation, Nola Bulmer; song, Chrissie Franklyn; recitation, Joyce Thomas; recitation, Monty Richmond; recitation, Edna Thompson; guitar solo, Martha Rankin; song, Cora Crocker; recitation, Stewart Franklyn; recitation, Rob Pepper; song, Juno McKenzie; recitation, Reno Johansen; song, Len Bartlett; pianoforte duet, Phyllis and Jim Crocker; song, Athol Gilbert; song, Jack Toon. Prizes wore given to the following children who passed the necessary aminations: Martha Rankin, Cora Crocker, Chrissie Franklyn, Rene Johansen, June McKenzie, Len Bartlett. Women’s Institute.

The December meeting of the Milson branch of the Women’s Institute was held in the Milson hall on Wednesday, about 60 ladies being present. Mrs. Oalleson, who presided, read a report of the previous meeting. Mrs. Wills (Eongotea) demonstrated icing a Christmas cako and also showed a lot of useful articles made by the Bongotea branch of the institute. Miss Munroo and Mrs. King gave a one-act play entitled “Saving Samuel.’’ Mrs. Pcnketh gave a recitation entitled “Quits.’’ The scone baking competition was won by Mrs. Pitt with Miss Terry second, the judge being Mrs. Wills. Five now members wero admitted to the institute. An apology was received from Mrs. Henderson for nonattendance. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Cumming, Grigg, Franklyn and Harvey. A vote of thanks to all members who helped to make the afternoon such a pleasant one was carried and the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
