Women in Shorts
Following the example of Mrs Fearnlcy Whittingstall—who appeared in shorts at Lady Crosficld’s tenuis party in England last month—other women tennis champions have adopted the fashion. Miss Holon Jacobs, national champion of America, and Miss Freda James, arrived on the courts to play their singles match in the women's national championship tournament, held at Forrest Hill (Long Island, United States), last month both dressed in shorts.
