Happy Party to Mark a Coming-of-age

A. most enjoyable evening was 3pent at the home of Mr and Mrs E. W. Houghton, College street, where they entertained a number of youug friends in honour of the twenty-Arst birthday of their daughter Joan. Excellent dance music was provided by Mr and Mrs Sinclair, of Woodvillc, on piano and violin. Games, competitions, and community singing were also indulged in, and greatly appreciated were two songs rendored in fine stylo by Hiss R. Bull and humorous items by Mr J. Sinclair. During tho cutting of the largo birthday cake, with its 21 candles, tho usual toasts wore honoured, and much incrrimont was caused with the presentation of tho gold key of liberty to the guest of honour. The happy party continued dancing until tho early hours of tho morning.
