LONDON WOOL RATES HOLD ACTIVE COMPETITION. LONDON, Oct. 9. Offerings at the London wool sales to-day were 8109 bales, including IS7G bales New Zealand. About 4314 bales were sold. ' , . Active competition was displayed at full late rates .Merinos, greasy, New South Wales, made 19d per pound; Queensland, 16Jd; Victorian, 20 Ad; Western Australian, 10-id. _Scourcd merino, Queensland, made 25d. New Zealand scoured merino, “Oxford,” made 23d highest, and 22]d average. New Zealand half bred slipes, lambs, “Pareora,” made 16 Ad, and crossbred lamb slipes, Kid .highest, 10|d average. Bradford tops market is steady, with a better inquiry for line wool tops. LONDON WHEAT MARKET LONDON, Oct. 9. Wheat cargoes are steadier on bcttei week-end American advices and more buying interest. Manitobas have advanced Od, and Australian and 1 l&tas are fully maintained. Parcels are quiet. Canadians are 4id to Od firmer..
