Longburn
From Our Own Correspondent. The Eongburn Ladies’ Social Club held the last dance of the season on Wednesday night. There was a large attendance and all present spent, a very enjoyable evening. The music was supplied by an orchestra and Miss U. Chamberlain played an extra. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr. H. Bowler. Two competitions held during the evening were won by Mr. S. Smith and Mr. B. McNab. The lucky spot one-step was won by Mr. Woollen and Miss Hutchinson, and the Monte Carlo w'as won by Mr. Woollen and Miss Cribb. A euchre evening was held in conjunction with the dance and the tables w r ere well tilled. The prizes were won by Mrs. I/emberg and Mr. K. Edw’ards. The aggregate prizes w r ere w'on by Mrs. Aldersley and Mr. Mabey. „ , Mr. and Mrs. E. Pickering, of Opunake, and Miss Fitzgerald, of Inglewood, are staying w’ith Mr. and Mrs. Bay.
