Fun aid Frolic at Scottish lugleside

Members of the Manawatu Scottish Society and their friends went "back to childhood" very happily wfc a dance in the Cosmopolitan hail on Wednesday evening. The hall was taxed to capacity with mostly ‘‘tiny-tots/’ while non-daucors found it very entertaining to sit ont and look on, Despite tho large number present, a delightful supper was served in an admirable manner. The floor was in excellent order and a leading orchestra supplied the music for tho dancing, while an extra waltz was played by Miss .1. Lampard. The prize-winners fox the fancy dresses were:—Bestdressed twins, Miss N. McKenzie and Mr J. Long; best-dressed girl, Miss C. Allan; best-dressed boy, Mr H. Barraclougb. Tho following were the winners of tho novelty dances: —Statue military twosiep, Miss L. Crawford and Mr H. Knowles; Monte Carlo waltz, Miss H. Lang and Mr J. Lyne. Mr H. Hughes made a capable M.C., and brought the function to a close at a late hour.
