No. 289.—Petition of Michael Mullooley. Petitioner alleges that through the action of the Government he is unable to complete his title to land known as Mangarara No. 2, Uawa Block, and in consequence is likely to suffer heavy losses. He prays for relief. I am directed to report that, as no further evidence has been produced than was brought forward on a similar petition last session, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 26th August, 1892.

No. 292.—Petition of Wi Naihira and 61 Others. Petitioners pray that no laws may be passed interfering with the fishery rights of the Natives. I am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion this petition should be referred to the Government. 26th August, 1892.

Eohe Potae Investigation op Title Bill. I am directed to report that the Native Affairs Committee have duly considered the above-mentioned Bill, and that they are of opinion the same should be allowed to proceed without amendment. 7th September, 1892.

No. 88.—Petition of John Kilmister. • Petitioner alleges that, owing to the wrong boundaries having been pointed out by Government officials when he took up land in the Otari Eeserve, Wellington District, he has been unable to obtain proper legal possession of his property. I am directed to report that the Committee, after careful consideration, are of opinion the petition should be referred to the Government, with the recommendation that steps be taken to place petitioner in proper legal possession of his property.
