Appeals Nos. 66, 67, and 69.—8y Te Wharau Tapuae and others, Taihakoa Poniwahio and others, and Te Reweti Ruta and others respectively. These three appeals make objection to certain persons in the order, thirty-two in all, and ask that their names be struck out of the order. The names of the thirty-two persons so objected to are set out in the list attached to the file showing the numbers standing opposite their several names respectively in the order. The appellants contend that these thirty-two persons are not descendants of the ancestor owning the land. os , This case was allowed to remain open by this Commission from the 21st January to the /Btn March, 1907, in order to afford opportunity for those objected to to appear before us and show cause why their names should not be struck out of the order as asked. No one, however, appeared to object nor was any objection whatever advanced before us against the contention of the appellants. We are of opinion that their contention is justified, and that the names of the thirty-two persons objected to by them should be struck out of the order for this block, and we recommend accordingly. The five persons whose names are hereunder set out are the persons who have been selected by the owners of the land from amongst their number and proposed by them as the members for the Hapu Committee for this block, and agreed to by all the owners present before this Commission sitting at Whakatane on the Bth day of March, 1907: — 1. We recommend that they be dismissed accordingly. Appeals Nos. 71 and 78.— 8y Mata Tako and others and Mehaka Tokopounamu and others respectively, asking for the inclusion of six new names in the order. To this request no objection has been made. We have therefore prepared and attached to the file of papers for this block a list containing their six names with individual shares as shown and therein numbered tliem respectively from 298 to 303, inclusive, for inclusion in the original e These two appeals further ask for increase of the shares of forty-six persons in the original order, the said increases having been arranged amongst the owners outside and subsequently submitted by them to this Commission for approval. _ No objection has been made to the increases so asked. We have therefore added the said fortysix names and increased shares to the list attached to the file, showing the numbers appearing aeainet each individual name in the order respectively. We recommend that the six new names be added to the order with shares as shown and that the shares of the forty-six persons in the original order be increased to the individual amounts set out opposite the name of each of them respectively in the manuscript list attached to the hie The seven persons whose names are hereunder set out are the persons who have been selected bv the owners of the land from amongst their number and proposed by them as the members for the Hapu Committee for this block, and agreed to by all the owners present before this Commission sitting at Whakatane on the Bth day of March, 1907 : — 1.
