No. 357 (1912). —Petition of Jane Clements, of Hawera. Petitioner alleges that, after incurring much expense in fighting her case in four Courts, she established her claim, in accordance with the law at that time in force, to succeed to interests in various lands of Roera Rangi (deceased), but that special legislation deprived her of said interests. She prays for compensation for loss of said interests and for costs of litigation. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition. 19th August, 1913.

Pkaying that the lands of the Ngatirafiiri Tribe, on the west coast, be removed from the jurisdiction of the Public Trustee and vested in the Native owners. I am directed to report that, as a question of policy is involved, the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition. 19th August, 1913.
