(a) £30,500 provided on main estimates. Further provision required on account of extension of work to include high-school pupils and change over to improved type of dental engine equipment. (b) £5,900 provided 011 main estimates. Part-cost of cottages for District Nurses at Kaeo and Oram and purchase of sites at these localities. (c) Contribution towards cost of maintenance of children of tuberculous parents in health camps throughout the whole year. (d) £7,000 provided on main estimates. Additional amount required for medical-research work in connection with sciatica, pinworm, tuberculosis, &c., also £6(17 for experiments in making bread from high-extraction flour. (e) £27,708 provided on main estimates. Provision for payment of increased subsidy from £137 Itis. to £143 per annum per nurse from Ist April, 1944, for 104 nurses, £1,009 ; also spocial grant to Waipawa Branch for nurses' travellingexpenses, £18 ; and grant for joint work in Otago District, £50. (/) £2,750 provided on main estimates. Provision made to cover cost of equipment, repairs, renovations, and alterations to Alexandra Homo. (g) Provision for maintenance of a soldiers' clearing hospital at Auckland. Cost recoverable from War Expenses Account.
